The Luna Tram Track and Surfacing System were developed for all
applications of model railroading where the railway track or parts of it
are imbedded in pavement like streetcar systems. Industrial track
connections very frequently have similar trackage.
The Luna system is based on an older Tillig track
type which has been remodeled into the next generation. The rails
are installed on a sturdy plate and the various surface pieces are snapped
in place. This system was developed by Tillig for Luna.
The baseplate is equipped with holes so
it can be screwed or nailed onto the layout.
The lower surface of the baseplate is
equipped with power connections, which are prepared for the connection to
commercial lugs.
.
Spacer pieces set the required distance
between two track bases or alongside one track base. The spacer
pieces are also used to snap in place the surface elements:
just "tap and click" and the track is assembled.
At completion the surface parts are
only snapped in place. Interesting surface combinations are
possible, for example paving-blocks between the rails, grass between the
tracks and pavement at the edges. Luna Tram does not set limits to the
imagination!
